March Creating in Clay
Kids Drop-off
Wonderland offers a kids drop-off creating in clay workshop on Saturdays! This give parents a chance to enjoy some 'you' time. Enjoy some time with friends, catch up on your to do list or get that grocery shopping done with ease. Our drop-off program is for 2 hours. We have a calendar of projects. Kids will enjoy learning new artistic skills in clay, creating a new project each week.
Kids- age 7 and up- adult does not need to present for this workshop
*Projects will be fired and ready for pickup at the studio 2-3 weeks after workshop.

Workshops
Wonderland Clayworks is a fun and creative space to host your child's birthday party! We offer a Birthday Package that includes all you'll need. We provide cups, cutlery, plates, decorations and everything you'll need so you don't have to worry and just have fun! Parties are 2.5 hours, accommodating up to 8 kids (ages 7 and up). Parents- you're welcome to clay with us too! Bring cake and your creativity and we take care of the rest. Please contact us for birthday party package pricing and to book your party!
Private Lessons
Whether you are just starting out or trying to advance in your own clay practice, private lessons can help you achieve your creative goals in clay. Private lessons are structured to provide you with the best instruction from a professional ceramicist. We offer expertise in wheel throwing, hand building and professional development as a clay artist. About
Hello! Thank you for visiting our website. My name is Kristin, the clay lady behind Wonderland Clayworks. I have been teaching wheel throwing, hand building and working in community outreach for 10 years. Currently, I teach classes and workshops in the Gunnison Valley at the Crested Butte Clay Studio, the Gunnison Art Center and here at Wonderland Clayworks. I work as a full-time clay artist and exhibit year round at art festival events across the US. I specialize in working with clay creatives at all stages in their clay practice and I look forward to working with you! My clay process and teaching approach is a creative exploration, encouraging a sense of play as the ceramic form is deconstructed with a thoughtful look into its basic fundamentals and reconstructed with imaginative and technical solutions.
Here at Wonderland Clayworks we think outside of the box, nurture the imagination and work through the creative process with a fun and playful approach.

Our Studio
Our studio can accommodate hand building parties up to 10. We offer a gallery space to gather and mingle before your creative clay making party begins. Please feel free to bring snacks, cake or beverages for your private party booking. Please note that we only do wheel throwing lessons or parties for parties of TWO. Most of parties are for hand building. We can provide you with a list and gallery of hand building projects prior to your booking. For wheel throwing specific parties please contact us or the Gunnison Art Center or Crested Butte Clay Studio.
